Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who was passionate about music. The music she grew up with was classical and old boleros, as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos as well opera and dramatic performances. Her mother teaches her how to sing, however she started more intense vocal training by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when he was a renowned Mexican opera singer and tenor. She furthered her training in music at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As an active performer as well as an instructor and instructor, her passion for music and art keeps her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will help younger generations continue the tradition.
