Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress, best known for her roles in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television series Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Her birthplace was Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. Her first role came to her in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling financially. The actress was on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in the year 2008. In 2008, she reprised the role Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is an updated version that the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace performed the role of Shannon again in Lost's finale and in two additional episodes. In 2013, she was in the sixth season of Californication. The actress plays Faith as a groupie, and also an muse for the stars, who catches the attention of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. She also played a musician as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014) as well as The lead on The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama released in 2018. Gyllenhaal's first film as a writer and director came in 2021 when she wrote The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama in which she won the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. She also was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
